um, senator? while you were congratulating yourself for winning the “popular vote” (sort of, kind of, in a manner of speaking, depending how you count it, if there were such a thing), we went ahead and decided for you.

Gee, seems very similar to the file-sharing solution to the music industry problem: we sees something we don’t likes, and instead of marching on the capital, we just quietly fixes it our own way, and by the time the problem folks realize what we’ve done, it’s too late to fight back in any effective way.
But I have a tendency to cram everything I see into my us-vs.-boomers meta-narrative, so maybe not.
